However, it’s not like your hamster will sleep during the entire day hours, but they do wake up during the day to look for their food and water. Then they immediately go back to sleep. Hamsters are more or less like nocturnal animals, which means they stay awake at night and sleep during the day. Hamsters seem to sleep so much because they are usually sleeping when you are awake, and up and active when you are sleeping. So it’s normal to wonder why your hamster is sleeping so much.
